ECNU Affiliated Shunde Midea School has a design area of 45,000 ㎡, and is committed to becoming a benchmark school for local compulsory education and leading the development of basic education. The overall design takes "cultural heritage", "scientific research and creation" and "landscape integration" as the concept, combined with Lingnan architectural style and details, to create a green ecological campus with distinctive cultural charm.
Based on the principles of adapting to local conditions, protecting the environment, saving resources and ensuring safety, the project selects building materials and reduces material consumption. Based on active and passive design technologies, the project implements rational utilization of renewable energy within the site, effectively reduces energy consumption, and reduces waste and carbon emission intensity. The total carbon reduction in 50 years is about 11,489 tons. Carbon emissions have been reduced by about 18.5%, achieving better comprehensive operating benefits at a reasonable cost, and has won many well-known awards such as Active House Award, AEEDA Asia Education Environment Design Award, and First Prize of Survey Design Award.
